Problem with my router – Wi-Fi not visible
19 days ago
I would like to inform you that I have a problem with my router. All the lights on the router are on, but I cannot find the Wi-Fi name – neither with different phones nor with laptops. The LAN cable works, but the name of the router is different and none of the passwords are working.

Which Router?

Maybe your Router changed the Wi-Fi data to the data of your old Router. This is an option you can not turn off. What you can do is configure the Wi-Fi data in your Router via a cable. You can log into your Router here and change the name and the password to whatever you like.
You can also try a factory reset and see if this helps.
If this still doesn't work, it is likely that your Router is damaged.

@fateme I just tried your contact number.
When would be a good time for a short call?

@Sören G. actually, they have been calling from the Telekom for 3 days now, and today they told me maybe the router has a problem because the serial number on the router and the website which they see for connection are not the same, they wanna change my router, and when the new one arrives and will see if it works or not.

@fateme Okay, sounds good! Let’s see if the new router does the trick. 🙏

Hey there @fateme,
welcome to our service-community 😁
did you already try giving the router's WLAN a different SSID in its configuration? And are both WLAN-frequencies activated there?
In worst case I'd suggest a factory reset and setting it up anew from scratch. If you need assistance with any of those steps, just let me know.
Kind regards
^Louisa
