Internet connection problem - Not able to connect

vor 3 Jahren

Hello,

I am a new customer by Telekom and have taken Telekom Magenta Zuhause 50 Mbps.

Today morning, the Technician came and installed the connection. He showed in his mobile that all steps are active and connection is coming to my DSL port in my house. Since the "Power/DSL" of my router was blinking,  he said that when it becomes stable,  internet will be active. But it did not stop blinking for a long time and he said that VDSL router is better (I am using ADSL router). He then left.

I then changed the router to FritzBox 7112 and I saw that now,  the "Power/DSL" is stable.  My WLAN was always stable throughout. But still my internet was showing "Connected but not internet access". So,  I thought to reset the router through Fritz.box website. In doing so,  now again my "Power/DSL" is blinking and not stable.  Also, my Fritz.box settings show me that "My DSL Verbindung ist Unterbrochen".
Now I am clueless what to do?

I have 3 questions regarding this :-

1) Is VDSL router a must? Can't I use an ADSL router?

2) Are FritzBox 7112 and 7312 compatible with Magenta Zuhause 50Mbps?

3) How do I know that my internet connection is still active and there is no problem with the main internet line.  I have already tried the above two routers but both are blinking and not able to establish a connection.

Thanks and Regards

Hello @Anirban Chakraborty , the 7112, 7113 and 7312 are only for ADSL connections up to 16Mbit/s.

You need a newer model like 7530 (AX).

      Hi Patti,

Just an update - Even FritzBox 7412 is not supporting the connection whereas this router supports 1&1 connection at my friend's house which is also 50 Mbps.

      Hello @Inga Kristina J.

I tried only Fritzbox 7412 but I did not reset it. So, I think that was the problem. As mentioned by @Patti Müller , I will reset it this time. I am trying to buy a FritzBox 7520. Will check and let you know if it works with that router.

      Regards
