Internet has been not up to speed (40mbps instead of 100mbps) and router decides to reset during daytime

During the last 2 weeks, my internet has constantly been underperforming. The speed is usually only half of what my tariff is and a couple of days, the router would suddenly reset during daytime (afternoon). How would I fix this if possible?
