Glasfaser to the Speedport
Hallo,
Tut mir leid, ich lerne Deutsch langsamer.
I have a fiber modem on a wall. The wall has networking built where I can connect the fiber modem to the Ethernet port. In the Wohnzimmer, I should have a Port where I can connect Ethernet to the speedport. This limits the long Ethernet cable. But in Wohnzimmer, I do not have a Ethernet port. It’s a coaxial cable output. If I need to have this swapped out, is it Telekom who makes the change? I have Giga internet, but I am unable to use the full speed at this time. Any information would be great.

Hi @Reds , ja english isn't very Well, too.
In the 1st Picture, there are RJ45 conectors on the left Side. one ist named "Wohn" , which means Wohnzimmer.
So you should have an RJ45 Wall jacket there.

Hallo @Patti Müller
The wall is what I have on the second picture. It is just 2 coax output. I have searched all walls, and there are no other. I have another wall outlet on “Flur Unten”, but when I tried there, speedport link light didn’t come on. I have tv on Wohnzimmer with media box, but no wall jacket.

Hi @Reds, welcome here.
It seems a bit mysterious that you have an outgoing "Wohnzimmer" port which doesn't arrive anywhere.
But to answer your original question, it is not Telekom's job to fix this. I assume that this is a rented flat? The landlord / owner is in charge of the wires inside the flat, and it looks like they have put at least some planning effort into this already.

Can you provide more detailed pictures of the wiring (socket from behind, where you can see the 2 green cables)... ?

I have good news. My friend gave me a Ethernet port punchdown socket, I'm not sure what the right name is for it. It was much easier than doing the Homeway Dose. I need to clean it up a bit on the socket, it is a mess. But, I connected 8 wires to the Ethernet socket, all lights lit up green for Network Tester, and I'm getting close to 1gbps from the router, which is in the living room.
It makes me thankful that I went this route as you guys suggested DIY, instead of fighting with landlord or getting Telekom to look.
Thank you @buenni , @ExRatinger and @Patti Müller.
