Rsync und Änderungsdatum von Dateien

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich bin diesen Monat von Strato zur Magenta Cloud gewechselt, in der Hoffnung etwas mehr Performance und Funktionalität zu erhalten.

Leider stellte ich fest, dass (zumindest für mich) unabdingbare Funktionen für eine vernünftige Datensicherung wie rsync nicht oder nur unzureichend unterstützt werden. Auch das Problem, dass den auf die MagentaCloud hochgeladenen Dateien einfach ihr Erstellungs- und Änderungsdatum überschrieben wird, scheint nach wie vor zu bestehen (dies verhindert dann auch den vernünftigen Einsatz von Rsync über das WebDAV).

Bitte versteht mich nicht falsch, aber ich bin ehrlich gesagt etwas geschockt und hätte von einem Branchenriesen wie der Telekom mehr erwartet.

 

Ich würde gerne wissen, ob sich da nach über 10 Jahren (die ersten Beiträge zu diesen Themen wurden 2008 erstellt) nochmal etwas ändern wird, oder ob ich hier falsch bin und gleich zurück zu Strato gehen sollte.

Die MagentaCloud in der jetzigen Form ist so zumindest für mich nicht nutzbar (Serverstandort Deutschland ist ja super, nur reicht das alleine nicht). 

Oder bin ich für diese Anforderung womöglich in der ,,Privatkunden-Ecke" falsch und sollte mich nach eurer Business Lösung erkundigen?

    Ich glaube nicht, das sich da was ändert und da anscheinend der Hidrive auch nicht die gewünschte Funktionalität bringt, wird wohl nur ein Wechsel in den Businessbereich bleiben.

     

    Betreff Serverstandort, die MagentaCloud basiert auf Strato, ist sozusagen ein abgespeckter Hidrive...

    danke für deine schnelle Antwort!

    Sorry ich hatte mich da wohl nicht ganz sauber ausgedrückt, der Hidrive Funktionsumfang ist bereits sehr gut (rsync wird bspw. nativ unterstützt), nur die Geschwindigkeit war meiner Ansicht zumindest an manchen Stellen nicht so gut.

     

    Aber wenn die Magenta Cloud eh die Infrastruktur von Strato nutzt, brauche ich ja hier nicht auf ein Geschwindigkeitsplus hoffen

    Stimmt, die Geschwindigkeit zum Hidrive könnte manchmal besser sein.

    Mittlerweile interesseriert mich das aber weniger, da bei mir die Datensicherung/Synchronisation im Hintergrund über mein NAS abgewickelt wird.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
