Telekom and its special termination policy

Hi,
so since I was moving places and my current plan was not available at my new address, I spoke to a telekom agent on whatsapp and I was told that I am well within my right of special termination. I was then asked to submit some proof that I was moving but I didn't have it by then due to paperwork of new place. So I said I will wait a few days and they gave me a link for the form on the website.
Once I got the document I applied for Special Termination and got it sent. I also received an email saying they have received the notice and will contact me within 2-3 days with a confirmation of the date. I was told it will take 30 days, which was fine.
I sent this form on 07.05.2026, so 30 days would mean 06.06 or 07.06, I will be charged for a week or so and rest would be refunded (This was communicated by the support). Since I didn't receive any confirmation for the next 10 days, I reached out to support again, and they told me its under process and special termination takes time I said ok. Today, on 30.05.2026, I called them, and was told they confirm it today, and set the termination date to be 30.06.2026.
My point is, this is approx 50 days from when I submitted a request, so I was already charged for May 2026, and now I will also be charged for June 2026?
It also says in the confirmation I received now by email

So now I have to pay for the router? I did my due's on time, but because Telekom took time with checking things, I have to pay extra months?

Notice Period: According to the German Telecommunications Act (§ 60 TKG ), if your current service cannot be provided at your new address, the statutory notice period for a special termination is one month, starting at the end of the calendar month in which the provider receives the valid notice.
Since your request and proof were submitted on 07.05.2026, the official termination date for your internet line is correctly set to 30.06.2026.
The regular monthly charges for June 2026 are therefore correct and applicable.
Router Contract:
Please note that your router is managed under a separate hardware agreement with its own minimum contract period. The statutory right to a special termination due to relocation only applies to the telecommunications service itself, not to separate hardware rentals.
Therefore, as stated in your confirmation, a compensation fee (Schadenersatz für die Restlaufzeit) is automatically calculated for terminating the router contract before the end of its minimum duration.

If that was told to me by the support initally, that would be fine. It was made clear to me that my contract will terminate 30 days from I submit the document to them. And was told I will be charged for June first, but then partially refunded for the remaining days after my contract ended. Great.
