Internet issues

Hello,

 

I have been having ongoing internet issues for several months. I have had numerous tickets in and it seems to get resolved, then a week or two later the problem starts happening again. My router resets once or twice an hour. It has been happening all day today and I am teleworking which makes it very frustrating. I am on my 3rd router from telekom, so I am not sure what the problem. I have updated my account number and cell phone number in my profile and would appreciate if an English speaking technician can call me back. Thank you .

      The router has crashed 3 or 4 times since the reset.

      The technician just left. He did not find any issues at the house, so he changed ports in the main hub in town. He said hopefully it fixed it and for me to monitor it today. So far it is working. I will let you know if I have any more outages today.

      Besides answering the question, whether or not you installed Powerline in your home network, it would be great to know, when you are available best, because I would like to call you, to discuss further troubleshooting steps.

      I do not have a Powerline installed. I am available anytime for the rest of today and this weekend and I am available after 1700 on weekdays.

      After the technician came last week, the internet worked great for 3 or 4 days. There was only one or two crashes during that time. Starting Friday and Saturday it started crashing more. Yesterday it crashed 30 or 40 times and today it has been crashing all day. The technician changed ports in the telekom hub last week and that seemed to work, then the crashes started again this weekend. I really am not sure what to do now. Do you think I need to lower the speed from 250Mb to 100Mb. Maybe the speed is too high for the infrastructure. My daughter is doing virtual school and got disconnected during a class session. Please help.

      Good afternoon, I stayed home from work today and the technician did not show up between 1200 - 1600 as discussed. I have had 3 outages today.

      Hello Team Telekom,

       

      The technician was here last Wednesday evening. He wanted to rule out the internal line of the house so we move the fritzbox down to the basement where the line comes into house and moved my Netgear Nighthawk up to the guest room with an already existing Cat 5. The connection has been solid now for 6 days with no interruptions. Thank you so much for you assistance and your patience. I really appreciate the excellent customer support that all of you have provided. Have a great day.
