Internet drops as soon as it connects.

Hi Team, 

Two days ago the internet started dropping every couple of hours. I thought it is due to some neighbourhood repair!

Today it is dropping instantly after connection.

I restarted the router several times, I also unplugged it from power for more than 20 minutes, i checked the cables and connectivity, etc.. It still drops and loosing synchronous instantly within 10 seconds every time it connects and upon connecting I noticed the DSL downstream gives random values sometimes it is above 100Mbit/s and other times it is below 38Mbit/s.

I have the 250Mbit/s Package (MagentaZuhause XL)

Device: Speedport Smart 4 Typ A

Firmware: 010139.4.7.000.0 (the latest)

I appreciate your urgent support on this matter.

      has a malfunction already been reported? 
      If not, we will be happy to check the connection. 
      A personal telephone call is required for this.
      You should be at your port. When does a call suit you?
      We are on duty daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
      The largest possible time frame would be ideal.
      Otherwise, you can also simply have the connection checked by us online via this:

      Maybe your neighbours installed one of those powerline-adapters.. U don't use them yourself though, do you?

      No, I do not use them, and I am not sure if my neighbour installed one it would effected dropping the connection from the main switch outside the building.

      Powerlines can in the worst case be the reason why the internet connection gets interrupted, but if it stays disconnected for many minutes I'd also guess another reason as a cause for your problems.

      I'm interested in what causes these issues. Let us know, when you know more.
