Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
The Utiq technology is privacy centric to give you choice and control.

Und hier kann die Telekom keinen Vorteil durch einen verbesserten Codec für sich beanspruchen, denn hier ist in beiden Fällen H.264/AVC kodiert. Die Telekom kürzt die Bandbreite = die Qualität also mal locker um über 50%.
Achja, 8Mbps ist so etwa die Bandbreite, mit denen die ÖR ihre SD-Sender (allerdings MPEG-2 kodiert) über den Satelliten ausstrahlen.
"Bei uns gibt's HD in SD-Qualität!" darf sich die Telekom auf die Fahnen schreiben...

Wenn die Telekom nu in der tat...Gas gibt beim Thema HD und nicht mehr bummelt....dann meinen Vollen Respekt....

Zum Vergleich: Im Original vom Satelliten haben die beiden Sender JEWEILS 12,5Mbps.

Die Telekom kürzt die Bandbreite = die Qualität also mal locker um über 50%.
Für mich wäre die Hälfte bei 6.25Mbps angesiedelt. Ob es sich tatsächlich um einen Qualitätsverlust handelt weiß ich nicht da über Sat ja auch mit variablen Bitraten gearbeitet wird. Ich kann mich an einen von Dir geposteten Screenshot im ok.de forum erinnern indem die Durchschnittsbandbreite ebenso bei ca. 8Mbps lag. (ich hoffe ich habe das recht in Erinnerung)

FWIW, der Stream @239.35.10.1:10000, auf dem derzeit "arte HD" läuft, hat die Kennung (TSID), die auf dem Satelliten "Das Erste HD" hat. Kann also auch sein, dass "arte HD" wieder verschwindet und tatsächlich nur "Das Erste HD" und "ZDF HD" kommen werden.
