I live in a French city bordering Germany.
The town of Kehl is only about 20 minutes away, and I spend a lot of time there shopping, getting groceries, going out etc...
I currently use my French mobile plan with roaming when I am in Germany, but it has become a problem because it drains my phone battery quite quickly and is not always convenient.
I was thinking about getting a prepaid SIM card to use when I am in Germany. Would that be possible even if I do not have a German address? Would it be possible to use my French address ?

I’m happy to hear that you’re interested in a prepaid plan.
Unfortunately, a German address is required to purchase one. That’s why the system won’t accept the French address you’ve entered. I’m sorry about that.

Is this only an online issue or a law issue ? Since a commentar said that the law only asks for an address no matter where.
A friend of mine provided his american address when buying the prepaid card and they accepted it, he was at the store though not through the website.
Would going to a store make it possible ?

Officially, we do require a registered address in Germany.
If the local team has an alternative option for this, we are unfortunately not aware of it.
