Zugangsbeschränkung W-Lan Speedport Smart 3

Hallo zusammen, versuche gerade die W-Lan Zugangsbeschränkungen beim Speedport Smart 3 einzurichten,

klappt eigentlich auch soweit, nur kann ich mein Mac Book leider nicht freigeben da dieses nicht unter Wlan

Geräte sondern unter Lan angezeigt wird, kann jemand helfen?

      @heinz.dorgathen Diese Beschränkungen sind eigentlich nur Kindersicherung..

       

      Warum willst Du Dein eigenes MacBook gaengeln?

      Vernünftiges Passwort, Gästenetz. Gut ist.

      Im Prinzip hast du recht, es ist inzwischen aber nur noch eine "Mini-Hürde".

      Jeder, der für kurze Zeit dem Netzwerkverkehr "zuhört", kann die nötigen Informationen bekommen, um am Türsteher vorbeizukommen. Und dieses Zuhören lässt sich auch nicht unterbinden. 

      Aber ja: ganz Unbedarfte hält es ab.

      da hast Du natürlich recht, die MAC Adresse wird unverschlüsselt übertragen, aber trotzdem müsste man zum richtigen Zeitpunkt

      in Reichweite des Netzwerkes sein, es erhöht einfach den Aufwand tierisch.

      MAC-Listen oder Nicht-Sichtbarkeit der SSID sind nicht zu empfehlen. Das bringt meistens mehr Ärger im WLAN als das es irgendeine höhere Sicherheit bringt. WPA2 oder WPA3 und ein gutes Passwort, das ist die Sicherheit deines WLAN.

      scheint wirklich ein Speedport Problem zu sein, beim aktualisieren der Geräteliste schiebt der die Geräte manchmal wild durch einander, nach dem 12 mal war das Mac Book dann bei W-LAN Geräten und ich konnte es freigeben.

      Hallo @heinz.dorgathen,

      die Problematik liegt darin, dass beim Anmelden eines Gerätes noch nicht alle Informationen vorliegen. Dann wird ein neues Gerät erstmal als "LAN" eingestuft. Auch wenn ein Gerät nicht mehr verbunden ist, fällt es manchmal in die "LAN"-Kategorie zurück. Dort bleibt es, solange nicht aktualisiert wird.

       

      Von daher war aktualisieren (und Warten) genau die Lösung.

       

      In der kommenden Firmware sollte dieses Problem behoben sein, ein Gerät wird dann erst gelistet, wenn alle (und dann korrekten) Infos vorliegen.
