Technician appointment Fiber Infrastructure

9 months ago

Sorry everyone, my german is not good enough to explain the issue, so I will do it in english. Thank you for understanding!

I have cancelled Telekom internet plan about 1.5 months ago and ordered from 1und1. Now I have received appointment booking email from Telekom, since apparently they need to change fiber infrastructure from ETH to PON for it to be compatible with 1und1.

Issue is that my appointment was set to be on 12th of July, but nobody ever came. I was sitting at home waiting with my phone, but no doorbell, no phone call. After few days I have received an email that my appointment could't not be carried out. I was trying to understand what was the reason. While 1und1 kept telling me that my landlord needs to confirm appointment, after calling Telekom support, I have learned that they don't need anything from my landlord. I have asked them why my original appointment was not followed, and they told me that I wasn't repsonding or answering. That is simly not true.

Now I am really scared, because next appointment is only on 8th of August and I have no internet for almost a month because of these missunderstandings. I am really worried same story is going to repeat, that appointment will not happen and I will need to look for reasons why I can't have internet. I have involved my landlord, called different numbers just to hear different stories of why things are not moving and I don't know who to believe. I still don't know if my landlord should be somehow informed, should he confirm something or not.

      1und1 is using telekoms infrastructure. By paying them I kind of pay to telekom if you wanna go that route :D. Its okay that you stand on this point, but maybe someone else will help! Thanks!

      No one from Telekom is allowed to speak with you! You are not a Telekom customer, but a 1&1 customer.

      Telekom is not permitted to speak with you unless 1&1 requests them to do so.

      This is about competition law. Telekom should not be tempted to persuade you to switch and become a Telekom customer.

      Everyone you can reach at Telekom is there exclusively for Telekom customers.

      The department responsible for customers of other providers is not accessible to you.

      If they need to speak with end customers on behalf of another provider, they will contact the customer directly.

      Thank you, but at this point seems like telekom needs to take care of this Matter at my house since they need to access it to change infrastructure. So it is not possible without communication.. Thank you anyways

      Yes, she does that too. However, only in contact with 1&1 and not with you. You are not a customer, you pay your money to 1&1. They have to take care of it.

      @cold5tar

      Thanks for your post in our community.

      But the other users here are right. Unfortunately, we can't help you with this issue as we can't/don't have access to 1&1's data. Please contact your provider 1&1. They also have the necessary interfaces to us to pass on the issue.

      Best regards
