Speedport Neo als Repeater

Hallo, betreibe mein Netzwerk zuhause mit einem Speedport w921v, der im Keller steht. Im ganzen Haus haben wir netzwerkdosen etc. Für die bessere Erreichbarkeit des W-lan Netzes im Haus möchte ich einen Speedport Neo ähnlich wie andere Router als repeater verwenden, in dem ich das Internet über die netzwerkdosen beziehe  Wie richte ich das am schlauesten ein? Irgendwie bekomm ich das leider nicht hin, jedenfalls nicht so, dass ich nur ein W-Lan Netzwerk habe. Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? Wenn ich den Neo mit dem Kabel ans Netzwerk anschließe funktioniert es ohne Probleme, nur das ich dann 2 W-lan Netzwerke habe, was ich eigentlich nicht möchte. Vielen Dank vorab.

    Hi @christopher.loew ,

     

    stelle in beiden Routern die WLAN-Kanäle auf zueinander verschieden Frequenzen (2,4er 1, 6 oder 11 nutzen, 5er > 100 wenn möglich) ein, vergebe für 2,4er und 5er unterschiedliche Netzwerknamen, aber in beiden Routern da jeweils die Gleichen. Aktiviere DHCP-Server nur in einem Router. Gebe dem zweiten Router eine Feste IP aus dem Netzwerk des ersten Routers (1.: 192.168.2.1 und 2.: 192.168.2.2).

    ja, WLAN-Schüssel gleich halten für alle Netze auf beiden Routern.

    Darf ich nochmal nachhaken: sollen die Kanäle bei den beiden Geräten unterschiedlich, oder im Gegenteil gleich sein? Ich lese dazu in unterschiedlichen Forenthreads gegenteilige Empfehlungen? Nach meinem Eindruck ist ja das Ziel, dass Endgeräte möglichst Fugenlos von einem in das Nächste Funknetz wechseln können? Spielt in diesem Zusammenhang der Kanal eine Rolle? Ist folgendes denkbar: ich mache einen langen Download auf einem Handy und laufe dabei von einem in das andere Netz - kann das Handy dann zwischen den Netzen wechseln und den Download fortsetzen? Spielen die Kanäle dabei eine Rolle? Für etwas Grundlagenvermittlung wäre ich sehr dankbar!

    @panca1,

    ich denke, ein Patentrezept gibt es da nicht, daher auch die unterschiedlichen Meinung.
    Hier ist meine Empfehlung beide Varianten zu testen und dann abzuwägen.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
