Router Smart 3 als Mesh"Slave" für Smart 4 als Mesh"Master

Hallo zusammen,

ich steige derzeit um von Vodafone Fritzbox 7530, wo ich ein Mesh-Wlan aufgebaut hatte mit einem älteren 7490, 

auf Telekom mit dem neuen Smart 4 und habe auch noch einen alten Smart 3 hier liegen.

 

Hat schon mal jemand probiert einen Smart 3 als "Slave" für den Smart 4 einzurichten ? 

Ich habe im Smart 4 irgendwie keine Einstellung für den Mesh-Bereich gefunden.

 

Oder geht es schlicht viel einfacher ?

      Mit den Speedports geht das nicht.

       

      Für ein Mesh müssen Speed Home WLAN oder dessen Vorgänger Speed Home WiFi verbunden werden.

      Das funktioniert nicht, der Smart 3 kann nur Mesh-Master sein.

      Sobald Du Mesh einrichtest*), wirst du unter Netzwerk -> Verbunde Geräte auch die Mesh-Komponenten sowie die Topologie sehen. Unter System findest Du die Einstellungen zum Firmware-Update und Zurücksetzen der Mesh-Einstellungen.

       

      *) Einrichtung einfach per WP,S sprich mit den vorderen Plus-Tasten des Smart 4 und der Speed Home WLAN.

      wo ist das Problem die Konstellation weiter zu betreiben - oder was übersehe ich 🤔
      Wechselst Du ggf. auf einen Glasfaseranschluß ? ...
