Revoke internet contract before starting it

Hi

 

I requested a telekom internet contract a long time ago and the contract was supposed to start in March 2021, but in the meantime I moved to a different apartment and the new apartment already have internet, so I would like to request to revoke the contract, before starting it. 

 

What is the process? Can someone assist me?

    That's quite a complicated one...

    How did you do the request? In a shop? Then you cannot revoke it.

    Online or via phone? Then you have a 14-day-period of revoking it - starting with the date that you have received the order confirmation ("Auftragsbestätigung").

    In case you ordered in a shop or if the 14-day period (online/phone) is already over you only have the right to move the contract to the new address (note: contract unchanged according to Telekommunikationsgesetz, you need to order the move via phone and refer to Telekommunikationsgesetz). If Telekom cannot deliver then you have the right to do an extraordinary cancellation of the contract, however you will need to pay at least a 3 months fee.

    I was contacted by a seller in my apartment. It has been way more than 14 days. Even though I ordered a long time ago, the contract has not started yet that's why I'm asking for a cancelation. 

     

    Why should I pay 3 months if it hasn't even started yet?

    It does not matter how long ago you had the visit - but rather whether you have the order confirmation from Telekom "Auftragsbestätigung". If you have that since more than 14 days then the contract is binding and cannot be simply revoked from your side.

    Thanks, I'll also need a document that proofs that you moved to the new Address. You can send this document via this form
    After the form arrived I'll check all options for you.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
