Installation of Glasfaser internet connection

Hi,

 

I ordered a new  fiber optic internet connection and requested to cancel my previous contract with vodafone(kabel) which is ending on January 20th, 2025. Today technician from telekom visited and installed fiber optic socket with a fiber optic ID. Then I got an email from telekom that my fiber internet will be installed on January 20th, 2025, the same date when my previous contract with vodafone(Kabel) will end. My question is can i get the fiber connection before that possibly in next few days given that fiber optic socket with a fiber optic ID is already there and working. Telekom can cancel my contract with vodafone on the previously agreed date January 20, 2025. I know I will have pay for both connections until January 20th, 2025 but that is fine for me. I tried to reach the helpline number but they do not speak English and unfortunately my German is not so good at the moment so writing here.

      Hallo @ms51 , mein Englisch ist schlecht, deshalb in deutsch. 

      Ob dein Wunsch möglich ist, kann ich nicht beantworten.

      Wenn es möglich wäre, rate ich dringend davon ab. Solche Aktionen enden oft im Chaos.

       

      Der jetzige Auftrag muss storniert und mit anderen Telefonnummern neu gebucht werden.

      Der Vodafone Vertrag muss dann nochmals gekündigt werden.

      Die Vodafone Telefonnummern müssen später dann portiert werden, wenn du diese behalten willst. Die Portierung ist dann eventuell mit zusätzlichen Kosten verbunden.
