[English] How can I increase the speed of my existing connection?

vor 5 Jahren

My apologies for not speaking German. So I want to increase my Telekom connection speed to fastest possible. So when I am at customer centre (https://kundencenter.telekom.de/kundencenter/anschluss-tarif/index.html), I get the following options:

Clicking this leads me to the following page (I do the availability check and it seems all speeds are possible):

Now I click Capture3.PNG and select my bandwidth of choice move forward and I am presented the following page:

This is the part that I am concerned about. Shouldn't Telekom automatically know I have a Speedport Smart 3 already (as it seems to offer me one while upgrading my bandwidth)? I am simply scared if I put this in my shopping cart and proceed to order I will just have 2 parallel connections instead of upgrading my existing connection to a faster bandwidth. Please let me know if this is a misunderstanding.

TL;DR: I really want to upgrade my connection speed but I am not sure how to do it online. I do not want to order redundant connections, rather increase the bandwidth of my existing connection.

My thanks and regards.

      Hello @Nico B. ,

thanks a lot for reaching out. I really want to upgrade my bandwidth to 250mbps (it seems to be available in my postcode) but being an English speaker on a German site, I was scared to order something wrong by mistake. Then I had cancelled wlan-to-go (as once it had activated, I had dropouts with my router) - and probably this outstanding order prevented me from upgrading. It would be great if you could call me at 16:00 tomorrow (29th June) and I will be happy to discuss the upgrade.

      my regards

Thanks for the nice conversation. As discussed the switch to the faster internet connection should go smoothly on the 10th July 2020. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I wish you a great evening. Kind Regards Martin Bo.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator

We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
