English Assistance - I was told there was no free internet line for me

Hi, i have moved into this apartment approximately 3 weeks ago. On the 9th of October i have made a 2 year contract through the telekom site and have made an appointment for the 16th, but no one came. Previously on the 10th i have filled out a form that was sent to my email by Telekom. After contacting support via phone, they said there is no free line for me. I have moved into Germany 6 weeks ago, so i dont understand how there isnt a free line for me, when a technician from Telekom came to my neighbors a couple days ago and connected them to the internet. I need internet and i dont understand how long i have to wait for :(

I speak perfect english but i dont speak german yet

      Probably you rather gave an order to Telekom with a wish date for 16th...

      Typically it lasts 2 weeks from giving the order until order confirmation (the order confirmation marks the contract) - in case a contract is possible.

      The dimensioning of network operators is not "we can provide full speed service to 100% of appartments/houses" because by far not so many people go for full speed service. Hence in some areas it can happen that no full speed service or even no service at all is possible. This is the downside. The upside is that availability can change from day to day - but unfortunately no reservation service is possible.

      What actually IS possible: that a Telekom forum teamie makes a first contact with you and then repeatedly checks the availability/possibility of a contract during the next few weeks. S.b. moves away, s.b. changes from fixed line to mobile or satellite, ... different scenarios can lead to a positive outcome for you.

      The strictly formal process for you would be to check whether e.g. a TV cable service with internet is possible - or in the end go to Bundesnetzagentur and raise a complaint that no company is offering internet service. This is however a way that will unfortunately not bring success in short time - and it can even be that Bundesnetzagentur comes with the decision that you should go for Eleon Musk`s Starlink satellite network.

      also, i forgot to specify, but i live in a 3 story house, which basically has 5 apartments. 2 of the apartments are connected to the internet, the apartment across me in the hallway also has it. so its just weird how i cant get connected

      however, the neighbors are disconnected again. the technic said he changed the port afterwards though, so i hope i will not be disconnected when they get connected...

      the only thing im really sad about is that the contract now only has 3 months for 10€, and not 9 as it was previously, since its not my fault something happened in the system, so i wish i still had the previous offer :(

      I just had a look. @Louisa G. has noted that she talked to you about the conditions and that it was okay for you. 

       

      When we're booking the tariff manually, we can avoid the errors that might occur by the automatic booking. But for us the online conditions are not available. I guess that's the reason for the difference.

      well, i said it was okay because i just wanted to be done with the internet connection, but after the call i realized that the difference between the 2 contracts is huge and really unfair to me since ive been waiting for so long, so im just really upset...
