DSL Modem Setup

We were given a speedport on Tuesday of this week and told to have it plugged in all day Wednesday while the technician connects our line. It is connected to the correct port, however when attempting to setup our modem it will not take the device password. I’ve tried a direct connection via Ethernet through the MeinMagenta app by scanning the QR code and nothing works. Please help!
