Why offer the chat assistant and the virtual live when it directs customers back to the hotline. I’ve spent and wasted a whole day just trying to get a hold of a technician to help troubleshoot. At this point I’m not even sure I want to bother with Telekom or it’s services if it’s a nightmare to get in contact with someone.

There are a number of things that cannot be resolved in chat. Technicians, for example, aren't there at all.
But you could, for example, describe your problem here.

I'm sorry, it's a little too late for a call now, I guess. But I looked what the technician wrote and there was definitely a problem with the line that could be fixed.
And as I can see, you are online now. Is everything okay?

Yes, once the issue with line and phone jack were resolved I was able to setup replacement router and verified internet was working. I also received a follow up call to check how things were working. Rep indicated speeds were off so they had me go through settings of router. All was in order and correct. So rep advised I give it until end of week and if no change let you guys know.
