Charges after contract terminated

Hello,

I terminated my service for my cell phone and home internet and I continue to receive charges on my account. I was told that the final bill for my internet would be in December but I have received one for January. I was also told that my cell phone bill would be prorated due to the termination date but I am being charged for the entire month. I am in the United States now and unable to make any updates.

      Good day,
the excess fees debited will be credited back to you. There is still an invoice after cancellation. If you have paid too much, this will be corrected afterwards. You can actually rely on that. Do you have the confirmation of termination of both contracts? If so, you don't need to worry.

Receiving one final bill after the contract has ended is normal. It is there to wrap up all outstanding payments or returns.

Caveat: With Deutsche Telekom, hardware is typically not supplied with a connection. If you had a router or other equipment rented from DT, then those were on their own contracts, requiring to be terminated separately. Could it be that the items on the unexpected invoices are for a rented router, media receiver, wifi repeater or the like?

      Hello.

The last payment was due to premature termination of services,

because you canceled the router within the minimum lease period.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me.

      Kind regards,

      Martin Bo.
