Mir geht es genau so wie Thomas. Ich nutze allerdings Windows 7, habe keine updates gefahren, Kaspersky vollständig deaktiviert und erhalte auch und dennoch seit dem 16.8.18 die beschriebene Fehlermeldung. Ist da wirklich nichts am POP3 Server vorgenommen worden?
