E-Mail Konto in Win 8 mail einbinden?

Hallo Community,
ich möchte mein T-Online E-Mail Konto in Win 8 mail einbinden!
Ich glaube aber zu wissen, dass mein Konto den POP3 Server nutzt. Für Win 8 ist aber IMAP erforderlich. Ist es richtig, das die Hotline der Telekom mein E-Mail Konto auf IMAP umstellen kann? Ich nutze nicht die Telekom Software 6.0, sondern nur das E-Mail Center.
Für Antworten wäre ich dankbar.
