Telekom Mail App Benutzername oder Passwort ist nicht korrekt

Beim Einrichten des t-online-Kontos in der Telekom-Mail-App kommt die Fehlermeldung:

Benutzername oder Passwort ist nicht korrekt

nach der Eingabe des t-online- oder auch des E-Mail-Passwortes.

Mit den gleichen Login-Daten klappt es am PC mit Outlook!
