Slow speed after upgrade to SVDSL 250

vor 4 Jahren

On 16.11 I upgraded to VDSL 250 but received profile 175, after 4 weeks the speed automatically increased to 225 Mbit/s, seeing that everything is stable I decided to ask for the profile to be increased to 250, on 05.01 I received a change for profile 250, after 1 hour I noticed that the router has out of sync with new speed 207,03 Mbit/s, now from STEAM I download only with 2 MB/s where is the problem?

      @MariusG

      207Mbit/s seems fine for your contract. Be aware that the DSLAM, so the endpoint at the street, will automatically adjust the speed of your DSL line depending on the error rate on it. So while 220Mbit/s may be stable some weeks ago, now it isn't anymore, maybe because of a new customer next to you or the use of PowerLAN devices.

      So first of all be sure not to use any PowerLAN device in your whole home and please connect your PC via LAN to your router and try the Steam Download again. WiFi is too unreliable for constant speed measures. Also changing the Steam Download Region in the Client settings also can help.

      I'm trying to downgrade the FRITZ! OS but I can't find the last version.

      I wouldn't do so:  only the DSL-driver will be "downgraded"  - and if you have  n o t   stored the last

      OS with all necessary data, you must recover the Fritzbox, i.e. you must re-enter all data.

      Instead of this, plse install the the laboratory  version, as already mentionned:

      @Gelöschter Nutzer I installed the 07.24-84940 BETA, for now the speed download is 25-26 MB/s, I'll be back in 24h to see if it stays stable.

      OS 07.21 is causing  problems together with  Huawei DSL Central Exchange - in German: "Telekom Vermittlungsstelle".

      I just changed my language menu in my Fritzbox to find the AVM translation.

      Due to possible line interruptions (s.a.), perhaps " DLM / ASSIA " reduced the velocity of your line.

      But: First of all, you should the cable colours - as mentionned by @Chill erst mal .

      Cheap cables are  n o t   suitable for Magenta XL...
