schlechtes mobiles Internet in Gebäuden

ich habe den Tarif Magenta Mobil Start M (2.Gen). Mit dem Mobilfunkempfang, HotSpot Zugang bin ich soweit zufrieden. Aber der mobile Internet Empfang in Gebäuden gefällt mir nicht, da habe ich außerhalb des Stadtzentrums von Berlin (Mitte) in vielen Gebäuden nur 2G oder "E" mobiles Internet mit meinem Iphone SE. Mit Blau.de(O2/E-Plus-Netz) hatte ich was das angeht einen besseren Empfang, dafür wieder außerhalb von Großstädten weniger.
Habe mal gehört dass die Telekom diesbezüglich an neuen Frequenzen oder so arbeitet um das zu verbessern.  Stimmt dass bzw. wie ist der aktuelle Stand?

    Die Telekom hat angefangen, LTE auch auf 900 MHz bereitzustellen (das ist das LTE Band 8 - das vom iPhone SE übrigens unterstützt wird). Der Umbau zieht sich bis Ende 2019 aber noch ein wenig hin

    Der Unterschied liegt darin, dass O2 fast ausschließlich auf LTE -900 setzt, was zu einer deutlich geringeren verfügbaren Bandbreite führt (max. 75 MBit/s), aber besser durch die Wände geht aufgrund der niedrigen Frequenz. Die Telekom hat auch LTE -800 zur Verfügung, nutzt in den Städten aber seit Beginn der LTE -Nutzung fast ausschließlich LTE -1800. Das bringt deutlich mehr Bandbreite (bis 150 MBit/s), ist in Stahlbetongebäuden aber ein Problem - da kommen die Funkwellen schlechter durch.

    LTE -900 ist von der Telekom vorrangig für IoT vorgesehen - die zur Verfügung stehende Bandbreite ist recht gering.

    Übrigens - das LTE -Netz von O2 ist gerade im Zentrum chronisch überlastet - versuche mal rund um den Hauptbahnhof oder am Gesundbrunnen mit O2 zu surfen - da ist EDGE schnell dagegen.

    Ok das stimmt natürlich, ich stelle nur fest dass ich gerade nur mit Edge arbeiten muss um das hier zu posten

    Mit O2/E-Plus Netz (blau.de) hatte ich 3G hier. Habe ich gestern mal getestet. Dafür aber außerhalb der Stadt Probleme mit mobilen Internet.

    Den besten Empfang hat man im Grunde genommen als Kunde eines ausländischen Netzes - denn als Roamer darf man meist mehr als nur ein Netz nutzen.

     

    Als nationaler Kunde ist es vorteilhaft, zwei SIM-Karten zu haben, die zu unterschiedlichen Netzen gehören. Entweder in einem Dual SIM Gerät (Problem dabei: in quasi allen Geräten unterstütz nur eine SIM LTE ) oder alternativ mit einem MiFi WLAN Taschenrouter.

     

    Ob es einem andererseits so wichtig ist - das wiederum muss jeder für sich selbst beantworten.
