Video Ident

vor 6 Jahren

Hello there,

  • I want to make a complaint. The vide-ident is a joke it does't works properly. The workers are not doing their jobs. Excepting the fact that I waited , about 3 hours to do the Video-Identification, when I finaly do it, my Sim didn't work...
The woman with I had speaked on Video-Ident says that everithing is ok, that the verification is complet but I didnt get any e-mail confirmation... and my Sim was without signal.

Next day,I speaked with a nice man on telekom-chat and he advise me to go to a nearby Telekom-Shop or to do again the vide-ident because my Sim and my identification it doesnt appear on the sistem.

I am 6 months pregnant and I have a 2 years todler. My husband was out of town with our car for the whole week. The nearby Telekom-Shop is at 10 km and I chose to make again the Video-Ident.

This time I have waited more than 6 hours and nothing... Today I had waited again 2 hours..

Finally I asked a friend to take me with his car  to the Telekomshop because I really needed a phone number.

In 10 minutes my Sim was activated.

If I knew for the begining that this will happen I would have never bought the Telekom-prepaid.

I would have bought the Sim pre-paid from another mobilcompany . At the store are several variants of mobil prepaid cards. I chose the worst one.

  • I am very disappointed with your Video-Identification service! They are not doing their job !
  • Please hire competent people!

I can confirm that it can be an unpleasant experience to go through Video identification.

And I can confirm from my own experience that you will most likely face this unpleasant experience also with other prepaid offerings from different providers.

It is somehow understandable that the companies that are forced by law to go through such identification process for prepaid customers (unlike for regular subscribers!) cannot spend a lot of money on this process due to the fact that it is anyhow difficult to earn money with low ARPU subscribers such as prepaid subscribers. (ARPU = average revenue per user)

    Hello @AlinaLoredana.

I'm really sorry that you had to make this bad experience.
Now the SIM card works and you can use it properly, correct?
Did you have to pay for the new SIM card in the Telekom Shop again?

    Kind regards
    Carolin K.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator

We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).

The Utiq technology is privacy centric to give you choice and control.

It uses an identifier created by your telecom operator based on your IP address and a telecom reference such as your telecom account (e.g., mobile number).

The identifier is assigned to the internet connection, so anyone connecting their device and consenting to the Utiq technology will receive the same identifier. Typically:

  • on a broadband connection (e.g., Wi-Fi), the marketing or analytics will be performed based on the browsing activities of consenting household members’.
  • on mobile data, the marketing will be more personalised, as it will be based on the browsing of the individual mobile user only.

By consenting, you confirm that you have permission from the telecom account holder to enable the Utiq technology on this internet connection.

You can withdraw this consent anytime via "Manage Utiq" at the bottom of this site or in Utiq’s privacy portal (“consenthub”). For more, see Utiq's privacy statement.
