sharing files and printers - checking "Access only after login" and setting crediantials doesn't work - no errors

Hello,
i'm trying to configure my shared usb storage to be accessible only with credentials. although the form submits successfully the shared storage still accessible publicly and the option "Access only after login" is reset on page reload!
Router:

The technical department needs to know the operating system in use. Can you tell me which system are you using?
Have you also tried a factory reset of your router?
