Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
The Utiq technology is privacy centric to give you choice and control.

da der W724V nicht selbst meshfähig ist kannst du im Prinzip jeden Repeater nutzen (wenn du auf der Seite des Repeaters nicht WLAN-fähige Geräte anschließen willst sollte der mindestens einem LAN-Port besitzen).

Da dein Router schon ca. sechs Jahre alt ist, würde ich den neuen Repeater nicht auf diesen abstimmen.
Wenn der Router ein Leihgerät ist, einfach durch einen Speedport Smart 3 ersetzen und als Repeater einen Speed Home WiFi.

Hallo @guentermeyer3,
der Speedport W 724V ist schon etwas älter, da gibt es neuere Router mit einem besseren WLAN, die zudem auch MESH-fähig sind.
So würde ich z. B. einen Speedport Smart 3 als Router und dazu eine Speed Home WiFi als Mesh-WLAN-Repeater empfehlen.
Gerade, wenn der Router vielleicht gemietet ist, würde sich ein Umstieg auf ein neueres Modell lohnen.

Das ist so technik ist immer gleich veraltet, selbst die Speed Home WIFI ist mit WiFI 5 nicht mehr die Speerspitze. Ich würde folgendes Empfeheln:
Speedport 724 ist gemietet - diesen Kündigen und einen Speedport Smart 3 + ein WLAN Paket mieten, wenn der 724 gekauft ist, nur ein WLAN Paket mieten.

ich schließe mich der Einschätzung bezüglich neuem Router und Mesh an. Da Ihre Eingangsfrage anders war, hier noch meine Einschätzung.
Wenn Sie einen reinen Repeater möchten, dann würde ich Ihnen empfehlen, dass Sie mal bei Speed Home WiFi nachschauen, ob Ihnen das zusagt:

Sie werden den Speed Home WiFi nicht mit Ihrem Router mit Mesh verwenden können. Der Speed Home WiFi ist aber auch als normaler WLAN-Repeater verwendbar. Wenn Si dann später auf einen Speedport Smart 3 als Router umsteigen, werden Sie Mesh verwenden können.
Ich selbst habe als normalen Repeater noch einen Devolo WiFi Repeater ac im Einsatz, allerdings nur für das Gäste-WLAN. Ich bin damit bisher zufrieden.
Speed Home WiFi gibt es auch zu mieten, sonst sind die Kosten 50 Euro für den Devolo, 80 Euro für Speed Home WiFi.
