My internet is very slow specially after 6:00 am

Hello all,

so I undrestand well that that the average speed is 27mb for the subscriber of 50MB DSL internet

so my problem is as following, I'm using my laptop which is connect to LAN to my speedport router, I was downloading a big file using one of the companies downloader and I kept monitoring the download speed indicated, at 5:00am in the morning I did get the full speed and I was very happy, then at arround 6:00am the speed was greatly reduced and the download became too slow, I tried to open youtube or anything to check the connection and I found that it is slow too so it is not related to the downloaded file, and this happens all the time, at some hours I'm lucky and get my 50MB fully and at some other time I can't get even 2MB, I'm feeling very bad and I wish you can help me

please note that my neighpor in the same building is subscribed to 1&1 and his connection is much better and it never slows down

@sherif.hamad There can be serveral reasons for slow speeds. Maybe there is a problem on the DSLAM or a problem with your router.

What for a speedport router do you have? This links will give you access to the engineer menu of the router. Please send us the DSL data from it. The Links are different for each model of the router. Before you can enter the hidden menu you must login on the router first (http://speedport.ip).

You can send us a screenshot of the DSL page for example.

      Hello @sherif.hamad,

      sorry for my late response.

My colleagues already checked your line, but couldn´t find any interruptions over a single day.

To clarify things a bit: The laptop is connected via LAN with the modem, right? Is it only this device, that gets bad results over the day?
In a first step, did you try to disconnect your Speedport from the power supply for at least 10 minutes and start it again?

It would be really helpful to see a screenshot of your "Status-Information" when the speed gets down. Would you please be so kind and observe this in order to take a screenshot just in time?

      Kind regards,
      Bernd M.

      Hi @sherif.hamad,

normally it's not the wifi that slows down the bandwidth. In most cases this problem is being caused by other devices that disturb the connection.

Do you use a wifi repeater/access point or a powerline ( dLAN device)? Or a switch?

To test this, you can switch on one device after the other. Wait after switching on every single device and see what happens. If everything's okay, then this one won't be the reason.

      Best regards, Inga Kristina J.

      @Inga Kristina J. @FelixKruemel @Jürgen Wo. @Bernd M. @everyone comes after

after painful months I figured it out, 2.4 Giga frequency is evil, once I disabled it I got my speed back, the draw back I'm having now is that my wifi signal is not strong enough like the past when I had 2.4 enabled.

Thank you guys for your help and please keep up supporting others, cheers
