Einrichten eines NAS mit speedport smart 3

Hallo Allerseits,

Ich habe mir am Speedport smart 3 ein NAS "light" eingerichtet, also eine Festplatte angehängt und freigegeben. Dies funktioniert auch soweit ganz gut, auch zugriff vom Internet aus funktioniert. Nur ein Problem besteht. Ich kann keine Dateien größer 500MB hochladen.

Die Festplatte ist mit HFS formatiert. Den Inhalt finde ich auf meinem Mac unter "share". Darunter sind dann die Dateien und Ordner.

Wenn ich jede Information anklicke erscheint:

Format: SMB (NTFS); was nicht stimmt

Kapazität 487,7MB; es sind 4TB!

Benutzt 37,7MB; ist auch falsch

Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen, was da gerade schief läuft?

    Also abgesehen davon, dass 4TB am Router schon ein Problem sein können, weil eventuell viel zu viel und der Router damit nicht klar kommt, kommt er mit einer HFS formatierten Platte ziemlich sicher nicht klar, das muss NTFS sein, oder fat/32, aber HFS kann der Router ziemlich sicher nicht.

    @patrickn: Vermutlich per internem VPN .

    Das Überrascht mich jetzt, da in einer alten Bedienungsanleitung vom Speedport HFS als unterstützt angegeben wurde.

    Für eine Festplatte >2TB wird in der Aktuelle Beschreibung vorgeschlagen, diese zu Partitionieren, was ich auch getan habe. 

    Dann werde ich mal einen "großen" USB Stick dranhängen und mit der Formatierung etwas spielen.

    Ins Internet bin ich wie in der Beschreibung aufgeführt. Über dyndns und VPN . Das habe ich schon ordentlich gemacht.

    Probiere mal FAT32, NTFS oder exFAT. Und 4 TB ist sehr groß, vielleicht zu groß am Router, besonders auch mit USB.

    Es sind 3 Partitionen 2 mit je 1,7 G und eine mit 0,6G

    Der Pc zeigt ein Laufwerk mit der Bezeichnung „share“ mit 500MB an. Die Partitionen werden wie Ordner angezeigt.

    @stephan_ruf: Dann liegt es vermutlich an HFS plus MacOS, formatiere die erste Partition doch mal auf NTFS, wie in meinem kurzen Test.

    @stephan_ruf: Normalerweise nutze ich nur USB-Sticks bis 512 GB an meinen vielen Speedports, um diese als Medienserver für meine umfangreiche Musiksammlung zu nutzen. Ich habe jetzt mal meinen Smart 3 rausgekramt, die aktuelle FW installiert und eine 2 TB USB-Festplatte (USB 3.0) , größere habe ich nicht, an den Smart 3 angeschlossen. Die Festplatte benötigt keine externe Stromversorgung, ist mit NTFS formatiert und besitzt nur eine Partition. Aber es ist die größte, die ich jemals an einen Speedport angeschlossen habe, ;-).

     

    Die Festplatte war umgehend im Konfigmenü des Smart 3 sichtbar und konfigurierbar. Ich konnte im Netzwerk mit meinem Win 10 Laptop auch umgehend auf sie zugreifen:

    Ich melde mich nochmals. Leider war es nicht die Lösung. Leider kann ich mit dem Mac die Festplatte nicht mit NTFS formatieren. Hat jemand noch eine Idee?

    Ich würde es mit exFAT versuchen.

    Ganz ehrlich, was hast du denn konkret vor?

     

    Das ist allenfalls ne Frickellösung, jedenfalls meine Meinung. Je nachdem, was du vor hast, macht ein richtiges NAS vermutlich deutlich mehr Sinn. 

     

    Die Funktion wird in der Bedienungsanleitung noch nicht mal mehr erwähnt, mal abgesehen davon, dass das Protokoll Jahre (10+, wenn ich mich nicht irre) als veraltet und unsicher gilt.

    Das Problem ist gelöst:

    Es hat nichts mit der Formatierung zu tun. Ich darf auf dem Speedport nur eine Partition </= 2TB oder einen darunter liegenden Ordner freigeben. Dann besteht das Problem nicht. Gebe ich die ganze Festplatte frei, besteht das Problem.
